Hereinafter the seller. The seller operates the website masterfromzero.com (the website; majsterodnuly.sk and kutilodnuly.cz redirect to it), offering digital build guides under the brands Master from Zero, Majster od nuly, Kutil od nuly and Meister von Null.
2. What is sold
The subject of purchase is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium — a guide in PDF format (the downloaded package contains the English, German, Spanish, Slovak and Czech versions), or a bundle of several guides. A guide contains a dimensioned technical drawing, a cutting plan, a parts list, a shopping list and illustrations (visualisations) of the finished piece. The exact number of pages and illustrations is stated for each guide.
A guide is informational material. It is not construction documentation, a design or a professional assessment. See section 9.
3. How the contract is formed
- The buyer selects a guide on the website and clicks the purchase button.
- On the secure Stripe payment page the buyer enters an e-mail address, name and billing details and chooses a payment method.
- Before proceeding to payment the buyer must tick a confirmation containing: agreement to these terms (including section 9), acknowledgement of the privacy policy, and express consent to the supply of digital content beginning before the end of the withdrawal period together with the acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is thereby lost (section 6). The time of confirmation is stored with the order.
- Sending the order constitutes an offer to conclude a contract. The order entails an obligation to pay — the button is labelled accordingly.
- The contract is concluded when the payment is credited. The seller then, without undue delay, sends to the e-mail address provided a confirmation of the contract including these terms and the withdrawal notice, and the download link.
The contract may be concluded in Slovak, Czech, English or German according to the language version of the website; in the event of any discrepancy between language versions of these terms, the Slovak version prevails. The seller archives the contract and makes it available to the buyer on request.
4. Price and payment
- Prices on the website are final and include VAT. VAT is calculated and collected by Stripe according to the buyer's country (see the next point).
- Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.) under Managed Payments: for the payment Stripe acts as the seller of record (merchant of record), calculates, collects and remits VAT in the consumer's country and issues the payment receipt/invoice. The licence to the content (section 8) is granted by the seller under these terms. Customers in the Czech Republic pay in CZK, others in EUR; Stripe may also display the price in a local currency at the current exchange rate.
- No delivery costs are charged — the content is digital.
- Payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or any other method offered on the payment page takes place at Stripe. The seller does not store the card number and has no access to it.
- The payment receipt (invoice) is issued and e-mailed by Stripe. The download link is sent by the seller in a separate e-mail and is also shown immediately after payment.
5. Delivery
The guide is delivered electronically, normally immediately after payment and no later than within 24 hours. Delivery means sending the download link or making the content available at the e-mail address given in the order.
If the content cannot be delivered, the buyer notifies hello@majsterodnuly.sk. If the seller fails to deliver even after a request within a reasonable additional period, the buyer may withdraw from the contract and is entitled to a refund of the full amount paid.
A purchased guide is accessible without time limitation. Should the seller discontinue the website, it will give at least 30 days' notice so that buyers can download their files.
6. Withdrawal from the contract and loss of the right
This is the most important paragraph of these terms
For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the 14-day right of withdrawal is lost if the supply began with the buyer's express consent and acknowledgement that the right is thereby lost.
This is exactly what happens with every purchase on this website: you receive the content immediately, and therefore you confirm both statements when ordering. Once you have downloaded the guide you no longer have a statutory right to a refund.
If the supply has not yet begun, the right of withdrawal lasts 14 days. The procedure and model form are on the page Withdrawal from the contract.
The seller may grant a refund request beyond what the law requires. It does so voluntarily and case by case, not automatically — and does not claim otherwise. Send requests to hello@majsterodnuly.sk.
7. Discount codes and promotions
- A discount code is entered on the Stripe payment page before paying. A discount cannot be applied retroactively to an order already paid.
- One code may be used per order; codes cannot be combined or exchanged for cash.
- Time-limited promotions are valid until the stated date and time (CET/CEST). The seller may end a promotion early if the number of codes is exhausted; this does not affect orders already concluded.
- The "first purchase" code is intended for new customers; in the event of abuse (repeated purchases under different e-mail addresses) the seller may refuse further use.
8. Licence — what you may and may not do with a guide
By purchasing you obtain a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for personal, non-commercial use, without time limitation.
You may:
- print the guide in any number of copies for your own use,
- build any number of pieces from it for yourself, your family and friends,
- sell or give away the finished piece you built from the guide.
You may not:
- distribute, publish, sell or share the guide file with other people,
- use the drawings, texts and illustrations in your own materials, courses or videos,
- use the guide for mass or industrial production for sale.
Copyright in the texts, drawings and illustrations remains with the seller.
9. Liability and safety
- The guides are informational and educational material intended for home, non-commercial building. They are not construction documentation, a design, a structural assessment or professional advice. The buyer uses them at their own risk.
- When working, the buyer must follow safety regulations and the instructions of the manufacturers of tools, materials and chemicals (adhesives, epoxy, concrete, coatings), use protective equipment and comply with local building, fire and neighbourhood regulations, including any notification or permit obligations.
- A finished piece built from a guide is not a certified product, even where the guide follows a European standard (EN 71-8, EN 1176-1, EN 747-1 etc.). Certification applies to products placed on the market, not to a piece built for personal use. Structures that carry people (beds, swings, decks, pergolas, gazebos, children's play equipment) must be checked by a qualified person before use. Children must be supervised by an adult on projects intended for children.
- Information on materials, timber dimensions, load-bearing capacity, drying times and prices is indicative; the actual properties of material from a particular store may differ and the buyer must verify them. Material prices are not binding.
- The seller is responsible for the digital content having the properties stated with the product (number of pages, drawings, cutting plan, parts list) and for it being openable and downloadable. The seller is not liable for the result of the build, for the fitness of the piece for a particular purpose, for damage to property, loss of profit or injury arising from the use or misuse of the guide, deviation from the procedure, unsuitable material, insufficient skills or failure to carry out the check under point 3 — to the fullest extent permitted by law. This exclusion does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law (in particular for damage caused intentionally or by the seller's gross negligence).
- If a guide contains an obvious error that makes the build impossible, this is a defect of the digital content and is handled under the complaints procedure; the seller issues corrections to all buyers.
10. Defects of the digital content
If the delivered content does not match the description — pages are missing, the file cannot be opened, a drawing is illegible — the complaints procedure applies. The buyer is entitled to have the defect remedied and, if that is not possible, to a reasonable price reduction or withdrawal from the contract.
11. Dispute resolution
A buyer who is not satisfied with the handling of a complaint, or believes the seller has infringed their rights, may ask the seller for redress. If the seller refuses or does not reply within 30 days, the buyer may submit a request for alternative dispute resolution to a body listed by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. Consumers resident in another EU country may also contact the consumer authority of their own country.
| Supervisory authority | Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia (Slovak Trade Inspection, SOI) Inšpektorát SOI pre Bratislavský kraj Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX č. 5, 820 07 Bratislava, Slovakia www.soi.sk |
The list of alternative dispute resolution bodies is kept by the Slovak Ministry of Economy at www.mhsr.sk. The European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued in 2025, so these terms do not refer to it.
12. Personal data
The processing of personal data is described separately in the Privacy Policy.
13. Final provisions
- Matters not covered by these terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code and Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on consumer protection.
- If the buyer is a consumer resident in another EU country, the choice of law does not deprive them of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence.
- The seller may amend these terms. Contracts already concluded are governed by the version in force at the time of the order.
- If any provision becomes invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
